Non-tenure-track, full time (10-month), renewable appointment starting August 2018, with 25% released time to serve as associate director of Biola’s Writing Center. The successful candidate will teach professional, technical, and/or scientific communication courses; work with the School of Science, Technology, and Health faculty to develop writing curricula; and liaise with departments regarding the university’s core curriculum.
Minimum Qualifications: MFA or Ph.D. in Composition, Rhetoric, Writing Studies, or related field by August 2018; strong verbal and written communication skills; robust understanding of writing center praxis; commitment to effective teaching; and evidence of ongoing scholarly activity in the field. Additional experience and interest in TESOL, faculty development, and English language related teaching is advantageous.
